Linear Production Presets

Presets retain physical settings and library references, never frozen prices or consumed inventory.

Optimize physical linear stock and reuse offcuts

Why kerf changes the required stock

Three 1000 mm pieces need 3006 mm with two 3 mm separating cuts, so they cannot all fit on 3000 mm stock. Four 24 inch cuts need 96 3/8 inches with three 1/8 inch kerfs, so a 96 inch piece is insufficient. Enter finished lengths; the planner accounts for blade loss separately.

Exact lengths and blade kerf

Enter stock, required cuts and quantities in mm or inches, including bare fractions. The deterministic first-fit/best-fit portfolio minimizes purchases and reports unplaced cuts honestly. Kerf separates pieces, including a final tail separation when required.

Import spreadsheet cut lists

Read XLSX, CSV, TSV or pasted rows locally in your browser. Choose one worksheet, map Length explicitly and review exact mm/in measurements and quantities before adding cuts. Stock settings and your private library remain unchanged.

Private production and historical prices

Select owned material variants and compatible available offcuts. Preview does not consume stock. Explicit production saves lock used inventory and freeze your price snapshot. Save reusable tails idempotently; export numeric CSV and printable SVG plans. No market pricing or FX is supplied.

Practical guides

Enter a measurement such as 18, 18.5, 3/4", or 18 1/2". Inch fractions use the selected inch unit or an explicit inch suffix.
